TOP 75 RETURNING WRESTLERS IN DISTRICT 10 AA
Finalized by Dan Albaugh on 12/1/10

This list is not a ranking of the 75 best wrestlers in District 10 AA. Rather, this list ranks the top 75 returning District 10 AA wrestlers who have the best opportunity to go far in the post-season tournaments of the 2010-2011 season. Obviously, a lot of “hair-splitting” goes into preparing a purely subjective list of this nature. By hair-splitting, I mean that the chances of the #16 wrestler are probably as good as the #8 wrestler and there’s not a whole lot of difference between #25 and #50 and #60 and #75. Keep in mind that District 10 AA has sent 100 wrestlers to States in the past three years – 33 in 2010, 36 in 2009 and 31 in 2008. So, any wrestler listed in the top 75 has a good chance to go to Hershey.

This is my 11th year of doing a Top Returning Wrestlers list. It was prepared without the advantage of knowing at exactly what weight each wrestler will be. As always, don’t take this list too seriously as it was put together for fun and to generate some early-season wrestling conversation. It was not compiled to create complaints or great controversy.

For any wrestler who doesn’t see his or her name, but feels it should be included, then please use this list an incentive to do well. I’ll truly be rooting for you to prove me wrong!

NOTE: From my Top 100 list of last year, I missed one State placewinner (Matt Mongera of Seneca) and two State qualifiers (Herbie Hennegan of Mercer and Mikel Boughner of Cochranton). Austin Matthews of Reynolds was not included in my 2009-10 Top 100 Returners list because he was a freshman and not a returner. To see my 2009-10 Top 100 picks, click here.
